Becoming Space: Exploring Agential Materiality Through AI-Generated Metamorphosis in Artistic Practice

Description"Becoming Space" is an installation that explores the agency of AI, discourse, and material intersections through AI-generated forms and 3D printing. Inspired by Ovid's Metamorphoses, it explores human-animal transformations using CLIP-guided diffusion models and stereolithography. The installation reveals limitations in AI's physical form interpretation---which is dominated by discourse---while demonstrating "intra-action" between language, algorithms, machines, and materials. This work tries to discuss authorship and material agency through the entanglement of matters.
