In this role you wi ll work with universities and research institutions to optimize the design and deployment of AI infrastructure. Our team applies expertise in accele rated software and hardware systems to help enable groundbreaking advancem ents in AI, deep learning, and scientific research. This role requires a s trong background in building and deploying research computing clusters, de ploying AI and HPC workloads, and optimizing system performance at scale.\ n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\n\nCollaborate as a key technical advisor for the design, build-out, and optimization of university-level research computin g infrastructures powering GPU-accelerated scientific workflows\n\nWork wi th university research computing to optimize hardware utilization with sof tware orchestration tools such as NVIDIA Base Command, Kubernetes, Slurm, and Jupyter notebook environments\n\nImplement systems monitoring and mana gement tools to help optimize resource utilization, and gain insight into most demanding application workloads at research computing centers\n\nDocu ment what you learn. This can include building targeted training, writing whitepapers, blogs, and wiki articles, and working through hard problems w ith a researcher on a whiteboard\n\nCollaborate with researchers to gather feature requests and product feedback for product and engineering teams\n \nWhat we need to see:\n\nBS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).\n\n8+ years of r elevant work experience\n\nStrong experience in designing and deploying GP U-accelerated computing infrastructure\n\nIn-depth knowledge of cluster or chestration and job scheduling technologies, e.g. Slurm, Kubernetes, Ansib le and/or Open OnDemand\n\nExperience with container tools (Docker, Singul arity) including at-scale deployment of containerized environments\n\nExpe rtise in systems monitoring, telemetry, and systems performance optimizati on of research computing environments. Familiarity with tools such as Prom etheus, Grafana, and NVIDIA DCGM\n\nUnderstanding of datacenter networking technologies (InfiniBand, Ethernet, OFED) and experience with network con figuration\n\nFamiliarity with power and cooling systems architecture for data center infrastructure\n\nWays to stand out from the crowd:\n\nBackgro und in deploying LLM training and inference workflows in a research comput ing environment\n\nExperience deploying and evaluating cluster performance using benchmarks such as MLPerf and/or HPL.\n\nExperience in delivering t echnical training, workshops, or mentoring researchers on using HPC/AI sys tems.\n\nApplications and systems-level knowledge of OpenMPI and NCCL\n\nE xperience with debugging and profiling tools.
