SUMMARY:Segment-based Light Transport Simulation
DESCRIPTION:Wenyou Wang (University of Waterloo), Rex West (Aoyama Gakuin 
 University), and Toshiya Hachisuka (University of Waterloo)\n\nWe introduc
 e a novel segment-based framework for light transport simulation, efficien
 tly assembling paths from disconnected segments. Our method includes innov
 ative segment sampling techniques and corresponding estimation strategies.
  To demonstrate its strengths, we propose a robust bidirectional path filt
 ering prototype, achieving superior rendering quality and faster convergen
