SUMMARY:Hyborg Agency: Fostering AI Agents Through Community Conversations
  in a Digital Forest
DESCRIPTION:Yuqian Sun (Computer Science Research Centre, Royal College of
Art); Chenhang Cheng and Chuyan Xu (Individual); Chang Hee Lee (Korea Adv
anced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST)); and Ali Asadipour (Com
puter Science Research Centre, Royal College of Art)\n\nHyborg Agency prop
oses an artistic perspective on AI agents: We can design AI agents that ma
intain their distinct non-human nature while meaningfully participating in
human social contexts.\nPresenting AI agents as mechanical deer nurtured
by community conversations, this computational ecosystem demonstrates how
defamiliarized AI agents can enrich human social experiences while promoti
ng transparency about their artificial nature, contributing to more sustai
nable and ethical human-AI symbiotic relationship.\n\nInterest Area: Arts
& Design, Gaming & Interactive, New Technologies, Production & Animation,
Research & Education\n\nRecording: Livestreamed, Not Livestreamed, Recorde
 d, Not Recorded\n\nKeyword: Animation, Art, Artificial Intelligence/Machin
e Learning, Audio, Augmented Reality, Digital Twins, Games, Generative AI,
Modeling, Performance, Real-Time, Robotics, Scientific Visualization, Sim
ulation, Spatial Computing, Virtual Reality\n\nRegistration Category: Full
Conference, Virtual Access, Experience, Tuesday\n\nSession Chair: Victori
 a Szabo (Duke University, ACM)\n\n
