The Value of Student Chapters: Growing and Strengthening Your Program through Community
DescriptionWe all understand that networking is critical in our field. And it’s equally important, if not more so, for recent graduates trying to break into the industry. Developing a strong and supportive community via an official ACM SIGGRAPH Student Chapter can achieve that! But having a student chapter at your university doesn’t just help the students directly, it can also indirectly aid in improving your program’s recruitment, retention, and graduation benchmarks. Learn how easy it is to start a student chapter and hear directly from a panel of current and former faculty advisors on how having a student chapter has benefited their students and universities. Though the session is tailored to educators, any attendee will find value in this session.
