Modeling Soot Oxidation of Flames as Level Set Erosion
DescriptionFrom observations of luminous flames, it is apparent that soot oxidation behaves as an erosion of the flame. Motivated by this, we model soot oxidation with a level set equation combining physics and proceduralism. We demonstrate our method by several examples ranging from small-scale flames to large-scale turbulent fire.
