Michael Goesele
Biography
Michael Goesele is a research scientist at Meta Reality Labs Research, where he mainly works on reconstruction and scene representation techniques for next general virtual and augmented reality devices. Prior to this, Goesele was a professor in the Department of Computer Science at Technical University Darmstadt, Germany, where he worked on graphics, vision and massively parallel computing on GPUs. His current research interests are focused on 3D reconstruction, multi-view stereo, surface extraction and geometry processing, photorealism, material and reflectance properties, image-based rendering and relighting using classical as well as deep learning-based techniques.
