Gilles Daviet

Biography
Gilles Daviet is a research scientist in NVIDIA's High-Fidelity Physics Research team, developing accelerated simulation techniques at the intersection of computer-aided engineering, graphics, and machine learning, and a contributor to the Newton physics engine for robotics.
Prior to joining NVIDIA in 2021, Gilles spent multiple years in the VFX industry, working on physics-based animation of virtual characters and their environments. He was co-recipient of a Technical Achievement Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and received a Ph.D. in mathematics and computer science from Grenoble Alpes University.
