Richard Lewis

Biography
Richard Lewis is an Associate Professor and program coordinator for the Motion Design concentration at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). He is a member of the ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee and serves as the curator for the annual Faculty Submitted Student Work (FSSW) Exhibition hosted by the committee. Lewis is the advisor to the MTSU Esports club and teaches a wide range of animation courses winning an Outstanding Achievement in Instructional Technology award. He co-directed the animated virtual reality short film "What Took You So Long," which received the US Broadcast Educators Association - Best of Festival Interactive Media Award and has been assisting with projects for the MT Imagine Animation Studios. Before coming to MTSU, Lewis worked in Los Angeles creating visual effects, titles, motion graphics, illustrations, and matte paintings for numerous projects, films, and television shows, including the X-Files hi-def conversion, the Unsolved Mysteries repackage, two seasons of Life After People on the History Channel, Vanished with Beth Holloway on Lifetime, and five years of Art Mann Presents on ASXtv/HDNET. He also directed a team of animators for two seasons of The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange on Cartoon Network.
