Fan Xiang is an artist, visual designer, and Associate Professor at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. Her practice spans graphic systems, signage, and data-driven digital art. Notable work includes AwardPuzzle, an interactive visualization that mines national art-competition data to reveal the ideological patterns behind “winning” aesthetics. Fan’s current research fuses graphic design with emerging technologies to make hidden social structures visible. She previously published Wayfinding Signage System Design after studying pictograms in Japan and China, and she holds two MFAs and a BA earned across China, Japan, and the United States.
