Biography
Landis Fields is a two-time Emmy Award-winning real-time artist at Lucasfilm, known for his work on The Mandalorian and Grogu. He has earned Emmy™ Awards for 'Outstanding Special Visual Effects' for The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian, and a Visual Effects Society (VES) Award for 'Outstanding Model' for The Mandalorian. Fields began his 3D journey in the U.S. Air Force and later honed his skills at the Academy of Art University. His career spans roles at Giant Killer Robots, Lucasfilm Animation, and ILM’s digital model shop. Notable projects include BB-8 for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Marvel’s Doctor Strange, where he earned a VES nomination. Fields has a passion for real-time graphics and innovation, contributing to attractions like Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. His blend of creative and technical expertise drives the evolution of Virtual Production.
