Andreas Maaninka, originally from Stockholm, is the founder and independent Visual Effects Supervisor at Oasis VFX. He began his career in London in the early 2000s, later working in New Zealand and Tokyo before settling in Vancouver. He has contributed to major films like Blade Runner 2049, Avatar, and The Dark Knight, with experience at studios such as Weta, Framestore, and Sony Pictures Imageworks. Now focused on on-set VFX supervision, Maaninka works closely with filmmakers to shape visual storytelling. Passionate about education and mentorship, he also speaks at global events, sharing knowledge and inspiring continuous growth in the VFX industry.
